Auto Sales Jobs Training Academy
Auto sales jobs can be exciting and lucrative or frustrating and miserable. What makes the difference? The training or the lack of training you receive. WarningSome companies charge you to take their auto sales jobs training program. Run away, don't walk, from those programs. In my several decades of experience in the business everyone of them I've seen is a rip-off. If a dealership won't pay for your training up front believe me you don't want to work for that kind of place. In case you are interested in looking into auto sales jobs I wanted to give you an example of what a first class training program looks like. As the director of training this is the program I’ve developed for our Phoenix company dealerships. They give scholarships to all their new hire's to attend. In other words they pay for your training not you. The initial sales academy training program is from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm from Monday through Friday. It is conducted at our Phoenix Academy Campus. This isn’t some boring lecture style program. It is a highly interactive hands on skill building experience. High Integrity Selling In this program you discover how to create customers for life using a high integrity selling approach. Auto sales jobs are exciting when customers like you and trust you. When that happens they will not just buy their current and future vehicles from you, they will also send their friends and family to you. Sales Academy of Automotive Sales Professionals Here is an outline of the selling steps and skills you will gain during the initial one week academy. 12 Steps of Successful Selling- Meet and Greet - This first step is the most important step of all the 12 steps. Here you are trained on how to get the customer comfortable with you and your offer to help them.
- Fact Finding - This second step is an important foundation step that will enable you to be successful throughout the entire selling process. This is where you learn how to understand your customer’s real needs and wants.
- Selling Evaluation - This can be an emotional step for many customers because this is where you are talking about their “baby”, their trade-in. You will discover how to sell your customer on the real value of their trade.
- Sell from Stock - This is where you are trained to sell what you have in stock and why doing that is so important to both you and your customer.
- Product Presentation and Demonstration - This is the heart and sole of auto sales jobs. You will learn how to build true value beyond the price of the vehicle. You will also learn how to create mental ownership for the customer with the car.
- Setting the Stage - This is an amazing step that experienced salespeople and sales managers don't understand until they take this training. It will show you how to isolate and solve real objections before you proceed into price negotiations.
- Start Your Write-up - This is a quick and easy step that does an important job. It mentally prepares your customer to accept the pricing numbers.
- Call Desk to Start Deal - In this step you get the numbers from your management that you will present to your customer. There are several benifits to you in doing it this way.
- Negotiate Offer - This is always a fun step for people. Here you will uncover how to get a commitment from your customer to buy the vehicle.
- Manager - This is where you learn how to tap into a powerful success resource available to you, your manager.
- Log-in Your Efforts - Logging in your sales activities does three critically important things for you.
- Persist and Follow-up - This is the step that increases your customer base and income significantly. If followed consistently you will be able to work by appointment only. That is a very fun and profitable way to sell cars.
That is the initial one week sales academy program. After you graduate from that program you would then report to your sponsoring dealership for new hire orientation. After that you will be assigned to a sales team and start your sales career with your dealership.
